With decades of experience in building exteriors, siding, roofing, and general contracting in the Orlando, Florida area, Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. He has cultivated lasting relationships with some of the finest tradesmen across various fields, playing a pivotal role in building our network of talented partners.

In addition to his leadership role as Co-owner, Dave serves as our on-site project manager, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and excellence. Beyond the professional realm, Dave is a devoted family man who cherishes spending quality time with his loved ones. In his free time, you can often find him hosting his daughters and friends for home-cooked meals, creating cherished memories around the dinner table.

CTO / Co-Owner

Meet Travis Roper, Co-owner of Highland Exteriors Group. With nearly 20 years of experience as a master carpenter, tile roofing expert, and industry leader in waterproofing installation services in Orlando, Florida, Travis brings unparalleled expertise to our team. Born and raised in Orlando, Travis intimately understands the unique challenges associated with providing quality repairs and long-lasting waterproofing solutions in our area.

As our leading technical advisor, Travis leverages his extensive knowledge and hands-on experience to guide our team in delivering exceptional results on every project. Beyond his professional role, Travis is actively involved in his local community and church, where he contributes to various initiatives and programs that promote unity and support. In his free time, Travis enjoys immersing himself in the tranquility of rural life and creating cherished memories with his loved ones at his cattle ranch in Virginia.

CEO / Co-Owner

Meet Dean Markley, Co-owner and CEO of Highland Exteriors Group. With a background rooted in aerospace engineering, Dean began his career as a certified project manager and engineer specializing in thermal dynamics, waterproofing electronics, and material science. Drawing on his expertise in these fields, Dean brings a unique blend of technical acumen and a passion for architecture and building to our organization, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and excellence.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Dean is a devoted family man who cherishes spending time with his wife and two young boys. An avid sports fan and lover of the outdoors, he enjoys unwinding by playing basketball, exploring unique restaurants, cooking, and immersing himself in nature. Dean's multifaceted interests and commitment to excellence make him a driving force behind the success of Highland Exteriors Group.

General Manager

Meet Ben Stout, our esteemed General Manager at Highland Exteriors Group. With a background ranging from ground level to executive roles in top residential building product brands, Ben brings a wealth of industry expertise to his role as the backbone of our team and the primary contact for our clients. He has ascended through the ranks of leading brands, demonstrating exceptional thought, skill, and organization.

Outside of work, Ben is a devoted family man who is deeply involved in his children's athletic pursuits, reflecting his families passion for sports. Ben's college basketball experience with the University of Central Florida team, which made it to the NCAA tournament, has undoubtedly influenced his leadership style and commitment to excellence, making him an invaluable asset to our team at Highland Exteriors Group.

Executive Project Consultant (Exteriors)

Meet Nick Arnold, Executive Project Consultant at Highland Exteriors Group. Nick is often the first team member clients meet during the inspection process and plays a critical role in setting projects up for success from the very beginning. With a professional background rooted in relationship-driven roles outside of construction, Nick brings a collaborative, solutions-focused approach that prioritizes trust, clarity, and long-term partnerships.

At Highland Exteriors Group, Nick is responsible for identifying client needs, assessing existing conditions, developing pricing and options, and building the internal project plan that guides the production team once a project is approved. His attention to detail and customer-focused mindset ensure each project begins with a clear strategy and well-defined expectations. Outside of work, Nick is a devoted husband and father who enjoys coaching and mentoring youth athletes, reflecting the same leadership and commitment he brings to his professional role.

Executive Project Consultant (Roofing)

Meet Justin Rothermel, Executive Project Consultant at Highland Exteriors Group. With a career spanning commercial and multi-family residential roofing, Justin brings extensive experience in project management, sales, and estimating, allowing him to guide clients through complex scopes of work with clarity and confidence.

In addition to his role at Highland Exteriors Group, Justin is also a business owner providing construction project management and consulting services, which strengthens his ability to deliver solutions that balance performance, budget, and long-term value.

Outside of work, Justin is a devoted husband and father who enjoys traveling with his family and spending time offshore fishing.

Office Manager

Meet Luz Lopez, our invaluable administration expert and organizational powerhouse at Highland Exteriors Group. With a professional background in roofing and home construction, Luz brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to her role. Her exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail ensure that our production team operates seamlessly and efficiently.

Prior to joining our team, Luz owned a dumpster service company, showcasing her versatility and ability to excel in multiple facets of the industry. Her diverse experience and hands-on approach make her an indispensable asset to our organization.

Outside of work, Luz cherishes spending time with her husband and twin daughters, soaking up the beauty of Central Florida with family and friends. Whether exploring the outdoors or enjoying quality time together, Luz embraces all that Florida has to offer with enthusiasm and joy.

Customer Service / Project Coordinator

Meet Ty Butters, Customer Service Manager and Internal Project Coordinator at Highland Exteriors Group. Ty is often the first point of contact when clients call or email the company, playing a vital role in setting the tone for a smooth and organized project experience. He oversees inspection scheduling, contract follow-ups, customer satisfaction, and internal coordination tasks such as permitting, documentation, and project scheduling.

With a well-rounded professional background that includes roofing project planning, project management for both roofing and exterior construction, and internal operations, Ty brings a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to every aspect of his role. Prior to entering the construction industry, Ty served as a United States Air Force veteran, where precision, accountability, and teamwork were fundamental. Outside of work, Ty is a devoted husband and father, bringing the same reliability and care to his personal life as he does to supporting clients and project teams.

Bookkeeper

Meet Leyla Moreno, Bookkeeper at Highland Exteriors Group. Leyla manages the company’s internal accounting processes and handles customer invoicing with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring financial operations run smoothly and transparently. Her background includes experience working with construction and engineering firms, giving her a strong understanding of the financial complexities unique to the industry.

Production Manager

As Production Manager for exterior projects at Highland Exteriors Group, Sean Rasemont brings a lifetime of hands-on experience gained from growing up in a family-owned roofing business. His career has encompassed roles as a roofing technician, sales professional, project manager, supplier manager, trainer, and operations manager, giving him a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of roofing and construction. After helping operate another family business following his family’s retirement, Sean joined Highland Exteriors Group, where he applies his extensive expertise to ensure seamless project delivery and high-quality craftsmanship. Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn daughter, as well as fishing and gardening.

Project Manager

Meet Jarrod Redding, Project Manager at Highland Exteriors Group, where he focuses primarily on residential exterior projects. Jarrod brings a well-rounded construction background that began in carpentry and general construction before evolving into roofing and exterior systems. His experience spans hands-on technician roles, project and operations management, and business ownership—giving him a practical, end-to-end understanding of how residential projects should be executed.

At Highland Exteriors Group, Jarrod manages projects from initial planning through completion, coordinating teams, maintaining schedules, and ensuring clear communication with homeowners throughout the process. His ability to streamline workflows while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship helps ensure each project meets both technical requirements and client expectations. Outside of work, Jarrod enjoys spending time with his son and is passionate about surfing, water polo, woodworking, and skateboarding, bringing the same focus and dedication to his personal interests as he does to every project.

Project Manager

Meet Cam Nead, Project Manager at Highland Exteriors Group, with a specialized focus on balcony waterproofing projects. Cam brings a unique and thoughtful perspective to his role, shaped by a professional background in ethical wildlife remediation and his former position as Service Department Manager at Highland’s sister company, Northmen Roofing. His experience spans complex problem-solving environments where precision, ethics, and customer trust are essential.

At Highland Exteriors Group, Cam applies this same measured, client-focused approach to managing high-risk balcony waterproofing projects, ensuring solutions are technically sound and responsibly executed. His ability to navigate challenging conditions with integrity makes him a trusted resource for both clients and team members. Outside of work, Cam is a new husband and father and the team’s resident outdoorsman—an accomplished mountain and rock climber who has also contributed to artificial reef projects in Florida, and enjoys water sports and gardening.

Project Manager / Service Technician

Meet Dylan Marquis, Service Technician and Project Manager at Highland Exteriors Group. Dylan is a well-rounded, thoughtful, and highly resourceful member of our team, bringing both technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset to every project. As a fully licensed roofing contractor with certifications and hands-on experience across multiple construction disciplines, Dylan offers a deep understanding of building systems and field execution.

Known for his exceptional attention to detail and naturally curious approach, Dylan excels at diagnosing complex issues and developing practical, effective solutions. His calm demeanor and analytical thinking make him a trusted presence on job sites and an invaluable resource for both clients and team members. Outside of work, Dylan continues to expand his knowledge in electronics, electrical systems, and emerging technologies such as AI—reflecting his passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Lead Service Technician

Known for his thoughtful and diligent approach, Tristan brings a level of precision and care to his work that sets him apart. Beyond his role at Highland Exteriors Group, Tristan is also a martial arts instructor for youth, embodying the same principles of discipline and dedication in both his personal and professional life.
